Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1987:
Gatunek palearktyczny, rozmieszczony prawie w całej Europie (prócz skrajnych części północnych), notowany też z zachodniej części Afryki Północnej. W Polsce znany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk na terenach nizinnych i w niższych położeniach górskich. Występuje w hubach rosnących na starych pniach drzew liściastych, wyjątkowo jodeł i świerków. Poławiano go również pod przegrzybiałą korą i w zmurszałym drewnie. Jako siedliska tego gatunku były podawane: porek brzozowy — Piptoporus betulinus (Bull. ex Fr.) P. Karst., żółciak siarkowy — Laetiporus sulphureus (Bull. ex Fr.) Murr., cerena jednobarwna — Cerrena unicolor (Bull. ex Fr.) Murr., wrośniak omszony — Trametes pubescens (Schum. ex Fr.) Pil., w. szorstki — T. hirsuta (Wulf. ex Fr.) Pil., w. różnobarwny — T. versicolor (L. ex Fr.) Pil. i w. garbaty — T. gibbosa (Pers. ex Pers.) Fr.
