Taxon description
Gatunek o zasięgu ograniczonym głównie do obszarów górzystych we wschodniej części środkowej Europy. Wszędzie spotykany lokalnie, rzadko i sporadycznie wśród mchów na miejscach wilgotnych. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadko znajdowany. Wzmianki o występowaniu u nas tylko w dwu krainach, oparte na znaleziskach sprzed przeszło 50 laty, wymagają potwierdzenia nowymi materiałami.
