Taxon description
Gatunek występujący w północno-wschodniej Europie, na wschód sięgający do Syberii, a na północy w Fennoskandii daleko poza koło podbiegunowe. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadko spotykany, znany zaledwie z dwu krain. Warunki ekologiczne słabo poznane; w Szwecji poławiany w lasach iglastych, przeważnie świerkowych, wśród mchów i pod chrustem, w ściółce, pod leżącymi, zmurszałymi pniami, pod którymi znajdowały się chodniki gryzoni.
