Taxon description
Gatunek o niedostatecznie poznanym rozmieszczeniu, gdyż często nie odróżniany od Cis (Cis) fagi Waltl. Wykazywany ze środkowej części Europy, Anglii i południowej części Fennoskandii. W Polsce znany z pojedynczych stanowisk w pięciu krainach, tylko na Śląsku Dolnym notowany z większej liczby miejscowości. Znajdowany w owocnikach hub na drzewach liściastych oraz w czerwono butwiejącym drewnie, głównie dębów, buków, wierzb i topoli. Z Europy środkowej brak szczegółowych danych odnośnie jego grzybów siedliskowych. W Anglii poławiano go w następujących gatunkach hub (występujących również w Polsce): porek brzozowy — Piptoporus betulinus (Bull. ex Fr.) P. Karst., hubiak pospolity — Fomes fomentarius (L. ex Fr.) Kickx, włóknouszek płaczący — Inonotus dryadeus (Pers. ex Fr.) Murr. i żółciak siarkowy — Laetiporus sulphureus (Bull. ex Fr.) Murr.
