Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1980:

Gatunek rozmieszczony od Wysp Brytyjskich i północnej Fennoskandii przez całą środkową Europę aż do Pirenejów, północnych Włoch i gór na Półwyspie Bałkańskim, notowany także z Syberii i Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce znany z nielicznych, rozproszonych stanowisk. Zasiedla głównie podgórza, a wzdłuż dolin rzecznych dociera do górnej granicy lasu, na niżu natomiast występuje tylko lokalnie i dość rzadko. Znajdowany pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, ekskrementami, padliną i w gnijących grzybach.
