Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1985:

Rozmieszczenie tego gatunku nie jest wystarczająco poznane, gdyż przez niektórych autorów jest uważany za odmianę M. maurus (Cast.), z którym według A. Horiona (1953) ma wspólnie występować w północnej i środkowej części Europy. W ostatnim dziesięcioleciu uważa się M. misellus Kiesenw. za samodzielny gatunek występujący w Europie Środkowej, południowej Francji, Szwajcarii oraz w północnych Włoszech. W Polsce, chociaż nie jest jeszcze znany z wielu krain, występuje prawdopodobnie na całym obszarze. Zamieszkuje tereny nizinne i górzyste, docierając w Alpach do około 2200 m n.p.m. Poławiany w maju i czerwcu na wilgotnych łąkach oraz krzaczastych olchach i wierzbach w pobliżu wód.
