Taxon description
Rozmieszczenie nie jest jeszcze dobrze poznane. Do niedawna sądzono, że jest to gatunek endemiczny dla Alp, obecnie poza Alpami znany tylko z Karpat (Polska i Rumunia). Podawany wyłącznie z olszy zielonej — Alnus viridis (Chaix) Lam. et DC. Zimuje, podobnie jak Psylla alni (L.), w stadium jaj.
