Taxon description
Wojnarowska (1962) uważa, że gatunek ten występuje w całej Polsce. Gatunek palearktyczny, wszędzie pospolity. Żyje na gruszach— Pirus communis L. Żerowanie larw powoduje charakterystyczne zniekształcenia liści, uważany za poważnego szkodnika. Biologię dokładnie omawia Wojnarowska (1962).
