Taxon description
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w środkowej i wschodniej części Europy, sięgający na północ po Danię, południową Szwecję i Finlandię, a na wschód przez Syberię docierający do Kraju Nadmorskiego. W Polsce należy do rzadkości — notowano go tylko z okolic Przemyśla oraz ogólnikowo ze Śląska. Żyje na różnych gatunkach głogów — Crataegus L. i według niektórych autorów prawdopodobnie na jarząbie pospolitym — Sorbus aucuparia L. Bionomia poznana fragmentarycznie. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano głównie w maju i czerwcu. Larwy były znajdowane na głogach w pączkach kwiatowych.
