Taxon description
Gatunek palearktyczny, w Europie prawdopodobnie borealno-górski, znany z Wysp Brytyjskich, północnych prowincji Szwecji i Finlandii oraz obszarów górskich w środkowej i południowej Europie, poza tym notowany z Kaukazu i środkowej Azji. W Polsce rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany. Zasiedla głównie szlamiste pobrzeża wód porośnięte trzcinami i wierzbami, nadto podmokłe łąki i łasy łęgowe, w górach dociera do strefy subalpejskiej. Znajdowany pod kamieniami, wśród żwiru, w detrytusie, pod mchami i opadłym listowiem.
