Burakowski et al. 1980:

Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony głównie w środkowej i południowo-wschodniej Europie, na zachód sięgający do Francji i północnych Włoch, notowany również z południowej części północnej Europy oraz z Syrii. W Polsce wykazywany z szeregu miejscowości położonych w różnych częściach kraju. Znajdowany w zmurszałym drewnie pni i pniaków, zwłaszcza drzew liściastych, w gnijących odpadkach drzewa (kora, trociny, obrzynki), w ściółce, pod chrustem, opadłym listowiem i igliwiem, w dziuplach drzew.
